Knead the Dough

At my house, we have been “just saying no” to grocery store chain produce for quite sometime.  We are lucky in Seattle because most stands and farmers markets here are functional year round.  My favorite produce stand is on Beacon Hill and next to it is a camouflaged street food vendor peddling Oaxacan Roasted Corn and now handmade tamales.

These tamales are so delicious and unpretentious wrapped in corn husks and served in a plastic zipper bags.  The flavor and texture of the masa moist, creamy, fresh and naturally sweet yet savory.  The fillings are traditional and satisfying.   ¡Que Sabor!
